A New Look for Fulbright

Over the past 73 years, the Fulbright Program has continually evolved and adapted to meet the needs of its participants, while remaining one of the most prestigious academic exchange programs in the world and preserving its core values and mission. Fulbright continues to encourage understanding and trust between people and nations, and to help individuals address the world’s most complex problems.

On May 22, 2019, the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), and 160+ Fulbright programs around the world unveiled an updated Fulbright Program brand identity. The Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (Fulbright Taiwan) also announced its renewed logo and mission statement:

"a world with a little more knowledge and a little less conflict"

“We engage and impact people for life by:

Awarding scholarships, Building knowledge, Cultural Exchange, Developing long-term relationships, & Enhancing Taiwanese-American ties”

We hope the updated Fulbright identity will better enable Fulbright’s broad network of alumni, supporters, and partners to attract the most talented and passionate applicants from all backgrounds in Taiwan, in America, and around the world.

The updated Fulbright logo changed from traditional blue to three shades of blue: Sky, Azure, and Legacy. The F-shaped latitude and longitude lines stretched across the globe represents the impact that Fulbright’s global network creates through lasting connections. Fulbright’s worldwide community is its greatest strength, and by leveraging today’s technology, Fulbright seeks to encourage and support those connections. Various colors also added to the brand palette to reassure diversity and inclusion.

America's flagship international exchange program, Fulbright is managed globally in collaboration with 49 unique binational Fulbright Commissions and 110+ U.S. embassies. Since 1946, over 380,000 talented people worldwide have been awarded Fulbright Scholarships.

Through the unique international educational and cultural exchange programs, Fulbright’s diverse and dynamic network of scholars, alumni, and partners fosters mutual understanding between the United States and Taiwan, shares knowledge across communities, and improves lives around the world.

One connection at a time, Fulbright brings people closer together and moves nations closer to a more peaceful world.
