Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (Fulbright Taiwan)

The Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (FSE, Fulbright Taiwan) is one of the 50+ bi-national/bilateral organizations in the world established specifically to administer the Fulbright educational exchange program outside the U.S. Over the past 60 years, the Foundation has financed over 1,600 Taiwan Fulbright grantees to the U.S. and more than 1,600 U.S. Fulbright grantees coming to Taiwan.

FSE selects candidates for Fulbright grants for Taiwan scholars, researchers, students and specialists to go to the U.S., and for U.S. lecturers, researchers and students to come to Taiwan. For Fulbright grantees, FSE offers pre-departure information, post-arrival orientation, and assistance with VISA application; issues maintenance stipends and other allowances; provides letters of introduction to local government agencies and research-related institutions; holds some academic conferences and cultural activities. FSE’s goal is to strengthen people-to-people understanding and cooperation for scholars and students of Taiwan and the United States.
