The Third Day of the Third Month in Medieval Texts

Kay Duffy

Kay Duffy is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of East Asian Studies at Princeton University
researching literary cultures in early medieval China. She also holds an MA in Chinese literature from University of Colorado at Boulder.

In this talk, she will provide an overview of her dissertation research, which examines the production and negotiation of imperial legitimacy at banquets held on the third day of the third month during the southern dynasties.
