Fulbright Taiwan Tree-Planting in National Chengchi University

To echo the global Fulbright Tree Planting Initiative and to enhance the local cooperation in higher education, the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (FSE) and National Chengchi University (NCCU) jointly planted the 25 Taiwan endemic Green Maple trees (7 of 25 trees were NCCU President Kuo’s personal donations) on NCCU campus on February 17, 2022, symbolizing the meaningful progress between the Fulbright Program and Higher Education in Taiwan.

FSE expressed our sincere appreciation to the Office of International Cooperation (OIC), NCCU, of their drawing of this tree-planting event. The tree-planting ceremony was inaugurated by Dr. Kuo Ming-Cheng, President of NCCU, gathering honorable guests from government and academic fields. The guests include Huang Chin-Shing, Vice president of Academia Sinica, Nicole Yen-Yi Lee, Director General of the Department of International and Cross-Strait Education, Ministry of Education, Dr. Wu Jing-Jyi, the Endowed Chair in Creativity and Professor Emeritus of the Center for Creativity and Innovation Studies at National Chengchi University, on-campus Fulbright Scholars, as well as the representatives from NCCU.
