Inaugurated in 2020, the Fulbright Debate Program has been one of the most efficient English Education programs to improve Taiwan high school students’ critical thinking skills in English. This program has exceeded expectations: there were more than 500 Taiwan high school teachers and students participated in our debate program in the past year.
Two newly appointed Fulbright Debate Coaches have arrived in Taiwan through a highly cautious quarantine procedure in September 2021. Our debate coaches will work with Taiwan high schools in Public Forum debate, conducted entirely in English, to guide teachers and students through regular trainings, workshops, scrimmages, and feedback.
