New Fulbright Master’s Scholarships to Taiwan

In the past years, the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (Fulbright Taiwan) has established several scholarship programs for American students to study for master’s or doctoral degrees in Taiwan. Joining the six existing programs at National Taiwan University, National Chengchi University, National Taiwan Normal University, and National Cheng Kung University, four more universities in Taiwan will join this year. Each grantee will receive NTD 25,000 per month during their two years of study, along with free accommodations and tuition waivers.

The four programs are the Mind, Brain, and Consciousness program at Taipei Medical University (TMU), the Brand and Fashion Management program at Fu Jen Catholic University (FJCU), Ethnic Relations and Cultures at National Dong Hwa University (NDHU), and Austronesian Studies at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), to encourage interdisciplinary applicants to study in Taiwan while fulfilling the Fulbright mission by increasing mutual understanding and enhancing Taiwan-American ties.

Dr. Randall Nadeau, the Executive Director of FSE, says, “The Fulbright MA and PhD grants are among the most competitive grants in the Fulbright portfolio. The distinctive feature of these new grants is that they are in the fields of medical science, humanities and commercial arts, complementing our existing programs in global health, green energy production, international relations, and so on. I’m looking forward to improving the diversity of the Fulbright Taiwan programs, and attracting talents from various disciplines.”

All ten programs are now available for Fulbright online application and will be closed on October 13. Please share this information with American students who are interested in studying in Taiwan. For more details, please visit our website: https://www.fulbright.org.tw/
